Light of the World (an acrostic poem)

Lifting the handle, Stephanie looked inside the box

It contained a whole lot of nothing

Giggling she closed it and looked at Timothy

How are you able to afford that?”  She asked

Timothy smiled, “I just saved up all the sun rays I could from the summer.”

Of course you did,” she said.  “I love it!  It’s just what I need.”

Forgetting he didn’t like physical contact, Stephanie gave him a huge hug

To her amazement

He didn’t push her away

Even pulled her closer

Well the moment was short lived

Or that’s how it felt to Stephanie

Releasing Timothy back into his own world she sighed inwardly

Loving someone like Timothy was easier than people thought

Didn’t this echo how God felt?
