Flashing that killer smile, she absolutely enjoyed watching her effect on the Y chromosomes
Of course, she showed none of this. She was a mature woman, in full control of her domain
X chromosomes for the win

Getting through the tight squeeze called life was always a challenge
As her whole existence had been between a rock and a hard place
Perhaps that’s why she was able to surprise them when she cracked her world and began to fly
Flying by quicker than a speeding bullet
And laughing at how slow that bullet really is
Seconds and minutes turn into hours before you know it
That is the type of speed that kills productivity
He felt his heart and arms ache with longing
Understanding the need for social distancing, but….
Going cold turkey for so long hurt his extroverted soul even more
Dirt on the floor intermingled with peanut shells and spilled stale beer
It gave this old run-down bar a certain je ne sais quoi
Vacuuming up those plummeting through the floor of their lives
Enabling them a place to splash down while mumbling “Bottom’s up.”
Love was definitely too strong of a word
It was kind of possibly closer to admiring or appreciating

Everyone laughed when he said to her “I prefer you. A lot.”
Picking the right color is so important to create the correct atmosphere
A shade too dark and it puts people in a somber mood
If its too light they will feel not grounded in the space
Now if you go for a wild color, well that just causes people to go insane
That’s why the world believes in beige, and why I avoid it like the plague.
Mary was always on the go.
Oblivious to sleep or the need for food.
The way she pushed herself was amazing to watch.
Of course, she could not keep this up forever.
Really it wasn’t surprising when she crashed and burned.
Canyons of concrete, glass, and steel define the urban landscape
Intense neon and fluorescent lights paint the scene in bright brash colors
That pulse with the heartbeat of the millions who live there
Yet she sat on the roof in the middle of it all, as alone as the moon that traveled overhead
On top of all things, Macy waited
Verifying that everyone in her domain was doing what she desired
Everyone today seemed to be listening to her wishes
Reaching our with one paw, she batted at the dust to demonstrate her approval
