Innovate (an acrostic poem)

It all comes down to creating something new

Not that it is easy, but with inspiration and perspiration

New things can come into existence

Of course you hope to capture lightning in a bottle

Value of your creation skyrockets, your company declared a unicorn

And you would be hailed as a genius

That is all well and good, but first do the hard part

Envision a new future and make it happen

Loop (an acrostic poem)

Image: kidsmathgamesonline.com/images/pictures/shapes/circle.jpg

Like my love for you, a circle has no beginning or end

Of course, let two equal circles touch and now you have infinity

Only that infinity is how long I want to be with you, and those two circles are us

Perhaps that’s why a circle represents my love for you that has no beginning or end

Slip (an acrostic poem)

Sliding down the road

Looking for traction among the glittering ice

Invoking different deities for divine intervention

Pounding to a stop in a snowbank ends the wild ride

Plan (an acrostic poem)

Image: scotthoward.me/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/plan.jpg

Putting together ideas that function in lock step

Letting the dominos fall till their inevitable conclusion is so satisfying

And yet, without question, something will not go as you projected

Now how you engineer what comes after is a true test of your design

Chart (an acrostic poem)

Creating pictures to represent data

Has a power unto its own

And we react to that image in about a half a second

Reaching conclusions without really knowing the story behind it

That is why even though a picture is a thousand words, they could all be lies

Cosy (a British acrostic poem)

Cuddling underneath his fleece blankie he smiled

Outside the wind is shaking the windows wanting in

Sound of the crackling flames in the fireplace lull him almost to sleep

Yawning he shut off the TV.  He wanted to live in that moment forever.

The Talk (an acrostic conversation)

Image: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e1/Combotrans.svg/2000px-Combotrans.svg.png

There are times when a boy and a girl love each other.

Hey Dad, you don’t need to go there.

Every dad has to.  It’s an oath we give at the hospital before taking you home.

They were lying to you, Dad.  I’m all set.

And how would you know you are all set?

Look, do you want me to tell you what I know?

Kill me now!

Fire (an acrostic poem)

Image: camptrip.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/campfire_m.jpg

Flames soared up into the night sky, infusing the area with smoke

It lit up the other campers’ eyes and smiles as they witnessed

Reaching for her guitar, Mary began a new song of praise

Everyone was soon singing along as they shared all shared a spiritual spark
