Shame (an acrostic poem)

So many wanted her to stay inside the box of their construction

Happy and content with the societal norms

All she wanted to do was be free, to be herself

Maybe if they all accepted that she would have bloomed

Except they belittled her for being different till she hid away her truth until it was gone

Vote (an acrostic poem)

Viewpoints not accepted except when followed by action

Outside the polling place, no one could be seen

Then he went inside, hoping for better news

Even here there was no one.  Then he realized it was tomorrow

Life (an acrostic poem)

Little things annoyed Francine to no end

It even included the big things, really, just those happened less often

Francine wondered why she had to deal with it daily

Eventually, she accepted it was to remind her she was alive
