Boosting those around her every day

Underpinning the sagging self-worth of the masses

It was a never-ending battle against the entropy of existence

Leaving her drained every evening when she went to bed

Drifting to sleep while praying that she could do more

Everyone was amazed how much one woman could do

Remarkable a mother could do

Trick (an acrostic poem)

That’s when she pulled up her sleeves before

Reaching behind his ear to pull out a twenty-dollar bill

It amazed not only the crowd, but her as well

Checking again, she pulled yet another twenty from his ear.  She tried again

Kept pulling out the money yet no one noticed his ears seemed to grow pointy

Trash (an acrostic poem)

The words she first typed were complete garbage

Reaching deeper, she tried again, trying to have them make artistic sense

As she typed, though, she knew these were still rubbish

She decided to keep going, but that feeling never seemed to leave her subconscious

How even after all the self-doubt she was a bestselling author amazed her every day

Amazed (an acrostic poem)

Above the clouds was usually a peaceful place

Maybe it was because everyone was plugged into their own world

All the passengers had headphones on or their nose in a book

Zoey smiled at being so close to so many and yet so alone

Eleven hours more to go of this before she had to interact again

Determined to enjoy every moment of this Zen
