Wheat (an acrostic poem)

While being gluten free was not the lifestyle she wanted

Her choices were that or get sick as her body destroyed itself

Eventually she would get used to the changes in her diet

And find awesome alternatives to those things she loved to eat

The smell of fresh baked bread would always bring a tear to her eye

Get Paid (an acrostic poem)

Ginny hated volunteering with a passion

Even if it was for an awesome cause like the animal shelter

That’s why she was in such a black mood, but she was there

Patrick came in, happy to see Ginny showed up

As he handed her her favorite coffee he turned up the wattage of his smile

It made Ginny rethink this whole volunteering thing

Dollars weren’t the only currency around

Awesome (an acrostic poem)

As I step on the pointiest Lego in the history of Lego

Wishing that I had amputated that limb so long ago

Every day I try to make sure the floor is empty, but I miss something

Still, I keep the light off as I work my way out of the room

Or I might wake her up, and that would be horrible

My foot hits another plastic caltrop and all I can scream in my head is

Everything is…..

Cuddle (an acrostic poem)

Couldn’t get enough of the fiasco

Ulysses chomped down on his popcorn

Dianne watched him more than the movie

Didn’t she get how gloriously stupid, but awesome, this was

Like that’s why he invited her over to watch Netflix in the first place

Eventually, he put his arm around her and she nuzzled in.  Compromise!
