Vinyl jacket?  Check.

Indigo blue Hawaiian shirt? You bet!

Nice pair of alligator slip-on loafers for the win.

Those corduroy bell bottoms would make it even nicer.

And the gold chains dangling added just the right amount of bling

Give me that fedora and the biggest feather you’ve got

Everything here might be old, but so am I so therefore it’s all…

Color (an acrostic poem)

Couldn’t tell the difference between red and blue

Or blue and green for that matter

Looking at everything in grayscale made paint choices easier

Only paying attention to lights and darks

Reaching for his brush he channeled his inner M. C. Escher

Salty (an acrostic poem)

Swearing up a blue streak was her pressure relief mechanism

And she needed all the relief she could get tonight

Little did she know her ex was going to be there with his super-model girlfriend

That’s when she knew she had to do something to assert dominance

Yet loosening the tops to the seasoning shakers were probably not the route to go

Crash (an acrostic poem)

Clutter of electronics covered his desk like high tech lichen on a wooden rock

Reality bending miracles of the past now mere pieces and memories

And he kept contributing new relics to the collection

Swearing, he flicked the switch again, but

His computer still wasn’t booting, just more of the blue plague infecting his vision

Blue (an acrostic poem)

Being depressed on a day where light rains down from a robin’s egg sky

Leaves her wanting to curse up and down for feeling blah on such a perfect day

Ultimately, she goes to her safe space, puts on some B.B. King, and curls up in a ball

Enveloped in her azure blanket, she lets loose her own rain

Punch (an acrostic poem)

Pushing lead to shoving that escalated from there

Until both idiots were doing a full on scuffle

Now normally I would call for the police to put an end to the altercation

Couldn’t this time, though, since they were two off duty boys in blue

How they explained the black eyes on Monday was going to be interesting

Reef (an acrostic poem)

Reaching out into the crystal blue water

Enticing the multitudes to live among the outstretched fingers

Encircling all in the cycle of life

Frolicking in the changing currents

Best (an acrostic poem)

Image: s.yimg.com/aah/sportsawards/blue-ribbons-23.png

Being top dog was what she had strived for all her life

Except now she wondered about what the pole position cost her

So she decided that being number one in society wasn’t that important

That being amazing at being herself was worth the real blue ribbon
