Glare (an acrostic poem)

Giving the valet his slip, Gary waited for his BMW to be brought around

Lunch had been dreadful, and Kate had basically dumped him for dessert

And to make matters worse, he got a text from his wife telling him she was leaving him

Reality was now blinding him with its neon F* You! sign

Especially when he got to watch the valet drive off with Gary’s wife and Kate in his beemer

Hubris (an acrostic poem)

Honking the horn did nothing for Martin’s blood pressure

Unless a miracle happened, he was going to be late

Being so close to his exit, but no one would let him in

Reeling from this potential catastrophe, he noticed a solution

Inserting himself forcibly in front of a BMW, daring the woman in it to hit him

See, now he was going to make it home in time for the Rick and Morty rerun
