Debris swirled in the breeze caused by the opening door

Uncovering a notebook long forgotten, if the amount of dirt inside the chamber.

She bent down to grab it, to unlock its secrets

The moment she touched it she turned to…

Shell (an acrostic poem)

Silicon beds abound with bivalves

Hidden under a blanket of warm tropical water

Every wave akin to a gentle breeze that brings savory delights

Letting the colony feast on the bounty of the surrounding sea

Life might suck, but for an ocean filter, that means you are living large!

Marsh (an acrostic poem)

Moss draped trees swung in the humid breeze

As Roger held his shotgun up to his shoulder

Ready to pull the trigger if one of those damn crocs showed back up

Silently he waded into the tepid waters a bit more.

He never saw the one come up from behind.

Hammock (an acrostic poem)

Hanging in the breeze without a care in the world.

As my drink perspires from all the hard work we are doing,

My mind wanders the cosmos.

Making connections that James Burke would be proud of.  (Look him up.)

Only the rustling of leaves and birds doing actual tweets break the reverie.

Can this solace last forever?

Kidding.  Child number two flops onto me, dumping us both onto the ground.
