That first time my lips grazed yours
How my world changed forever
Racing hearts beating together
It left me dizzy and short of breath
Let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to do that again
Loving that hit of raw adrenaline
That first time my lips grazed yours
How my world changed forever
Racing hearts beating together
It left me dizzy and short of breath
Let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to do that again
Loving that hit of raw adrenaline
There was that time when he was out prowling around
Impeccable coat, stripes so sharp they would slice through rival suitors
Giving the ladies a view of what an alpha male looked like
Everything changed when he met her. She stopped that predator dead in his tracks
Relaxing on her new pelt rug, she looked into his eyes. What a pussycat!
Putting her money where her mouth is was always difficult
It seemed easier to not think and go with her heart in those circumstances
Casting the dice down the green felted table, she closed her eyes
Knowing that whatever happened, her life was going to be changed forever
So many people together in close proximity
Ordinarily that could be a fun time for the crowd
Covid changed that dynamic greatly
It forced us to find other ways to be close while being farther apart
And while it wasn’t perfect, it was sometimes enough
Letting us dip our toes into the sea of being…
Every new beginning has that night before
Veiled in ambiguousness and anonymity
Experience that tonight, and may your tomorrow be ever changed
Oscillating around her, trapped in her emotional gravitational field
Rotating in and out of her sunny disposition
Bob felt like their relationship was becoming too predictable
It changed and became chaotic and way more complicated
The moment a third body entered the picture

Until her twenty-third birthday, Abagail thought she was special
She would walk around like the queen she knew she had to be
Everything changed when she met Chuck
Love left her vulnerable, lowered her confidence
Esteem shrunk under Chuck’s manipulative eye
Soon she was relegated to being just his wife and not his partner
She told herself it was for the best. Otherwise, she would be ….

Putting things in writing was what James preferred
As digital copies couldn’t be trusted
Pen scratching along a surface made something physical
Electrons changed too quickly
Really he just liked making airplanes out of his writing when it didn’t work

When seven days had gone by
Everything had changed completely
Everyone had gone full zombie on her
Killing her hopes for humanity in such a short period of time
There once was a time where I was lost and clueless
Even thought about just giving up completely
Seriously, it was that bad
Then you walked into my life
It completely changed everything
Forced me to become a far better man because of it
Yet throughout this whole ordeal my hatred of you has never wavered
