Emotion (an acrostic poem)

Empathy was not something that came naturally

Math and logic were more comfortable

Only right now it wasn’t an option

The fact that she was crying

It meant there was a problem to solve

Only there was nothing that could be done at the moment

Now if the programmer could update my algorithm, maybe that would help

Limit (an acrostic poem)

Looking for that little bit more

I push the pace past what was comfortable into the red zone

Making me breathe harder, faster

It rips a growl from my soul as hit that wall

Then I break through that ceiling.  On to that next level.

Punk (an acrostic poem)

Pushing society’s boundaries

Until it finds the breaking point

Never accepting being inside any box

Keeping the norm from becoming comfortable and helping it grow if it wants to or not.

Silent (an acrostic poem)

She drifted to the back of the room

It just felt more comfortable being out of the spotlight

Liza didn’t like performing on demand

Even when she was paid for it she had such anxiety

Now allow her her quiet space and she blossomed

That was hard when you were master of ceremonies
