Dazed and confused

I sit here in front of my screen

Zoom to teach my classes

Zoom to meet with colleagues

Yet at times it seems pretty slow

Ghost (an acrostic poem)

Going dead was such a drag

Having no sensations other than mind-numbing pain

Or the inability to have any strong emotions

So Wendy just haunted her surroundings

The way their daughter just floated through her days confused Wendy’s parents

Temp (an acrostic poem)

The new girl was the bomb when it came to running the office

Everyone realized that she was a keeper from day one

Management asked the placement agency to make her permanent

People at the agency were confused.  They hadn’t sent anybody over.
