Fast-food restaurant grease ran down his chubby fingers.

Reaching for the cup of bubbly sugar water to wash it down, he took a long swig.

It tasted so so good. He snatched up his burger and took another ferocious bite.

Eventually, the stuffing of his face subsided and he turned back to the problem at hand.

Differential equations had destroyed his brain, but after that carb load, it was time to strike back!

Clutching her goblet, she poured the wine down her throat

Until they all kneeled before her, she would never be happy

Perhaps that was the alcohol talking, but she liked what it was saying

Cup of her liquid wakeup was held close to her nose

Olfactory sensors lit up her brain with anticipation

Followed with her stomach preparing for the scalding acidic onslaught

Fluid of the darkest black splashed and sloshed along her tongue

Everything in her mouth screamed as the heat seared her taste buds

Except she considered that her wakeup alarm symphony.  The day could now begin.

Snack Free (an acrostic poem)

Soooooo hungry

Nibbling on fresh air

And that was not satisfying

Craving sustenance

Knowing nothing was coming

Finding willpower

Reaching for a cup of tea

Everything will be okay

Even if his stomach disagreed
