We look into each other’s lives and wonder what lies behind those curtains

If others have things so much better than us

Not realizing that as we stare in that they can stare back

Determined to see past our drapes

Observing all the cobwebs and clutter

While wondering why we have it so much better than they do

Head (an acrostic poem)

Image: primarilytechcom.files.wordpress.com/2018/12/Quiz-Think-Question-Thinking-Brain-Answer-2004314.jpg

He danced along his mental landscape

Enjoying the infinite possibilities inside his mind

Allowing his imagination to go wild

Determined to escape the reality his meat brain was stuck in

Buddy (an acrostic poem)

Image: solarsystem.nasa.gov/system/news_items/main_images/1520_Blue_Moon_Airplane_1280.jpg

Being with you is one of the best things in my life

Under the full moon, with mischief on our minds

Doing deeds we will never talk about unless copious amounts of alcohol are consumed

Determined to make our mark on this world

You know, like the tatts we gave each other

Radio (an acrostic poem)

Rock ‘n roll blaring out the speakers

As her convertible rattled down the old dirt road

Determined to enjoy one of the last warm fall days they sang along

If her and her girlfriend were off key, they didn’t care

Only thing that mattered was what song was next

Stand (an acrostic poem)

Still there she was, even after he had left her

The universe was shattered, her everything was gone

And yet she was still upright

Now she didn’t know what to do, or how she would go on, but

Determined to not let him down, only then did she fall to her knees

Hurdle (an acrostic poem)

How high do we need to jump

Until we finally get over the hump

Realizing true equality for ALL

Determined not to go backwards ever again

Leaving behind the strife, bigotry, and hatred

Embracing a truly brilliant future

Crowded (an acrostic poem)

Covid19 kept everyone away for so long

Randy got used to being on his own

Only now those restrictions were ending

Which meant everyone was doing their most to get out

Disturbing him with their proximity

Eventually, he had to reisolate himself

Determined to keep the spirit of Covid19 alive
