Crease (an acrostic poem)

 

Cutting and tape would be cheating

Realize the Zen of proper folding

Elephants and cranes made of paper

As fingers show off their dexterity

Solemnly teasing out a third dimension from two

Evoking the surreal as its goal

Dexterity was never his strong suit

Except when it came to his cleverness with words

Fast-talking was how he made his living

That slight of tongue showed true nimbleness

Juggle (a 50 word thingee)

So many words to juggle, but tonight I don’t have the dexterity to do so.  I am closing my circus in hopes that tomorrow the show can go on.  If not, I know of some great friends who will help me set the fires and collect the insurance.  True dat!
