So you feel like you’re going to go under

Icy hands of doubt and self-loathing pulling you down into your personal abyss

No way should you just accept what is happening

Keep on treading water and keep looking for the shore.  You’ve got this!

Stone (an acrostic poem)

So that was the moment he pulled out the engagement ring.

That caught her off guard.  She wasn’t ready yet, but was that her doubt talking?

Only here was the large diamond breaking the light into rainbows in her face.

Now was when she had to make the big decision, not later.  What should she do?

Eventually that became the bedrock of the rest of her life.

Helpless (an acrostic poem)

Hurrying down the dimly lit hallway, Chronus kept his mace handy.

Every step he took brought him closer to the dragon

Listening in between breathes, Chronus tried to locate the beast

Perspiration dripped into his eyes, stinging him and causing his vision to blur

Laughter boomed through the space causing Chronus to doubt why he came here

Especially since he didn’t stand a chance to win

Still he let loose a roar as he charged in the direction of the laughter

Sometimes you had to accept your fate
