Research (an acrostic poem)

Reaching out to find out how more of her universe worked

Everything was subtly connected in fascinating ways

So when she ran into a dead end, she would happily start over

Except when that meant flushing years of work down the proverbial mental toilet

Reacting like anyone would, under those circumstances, she would become depressed

Cautiously she would begin to feel better and begin a new journey down a path she had yet to explore

Her energy renewed, ready to tackle another problem

Green (an acrostic poem)

Growing a new future out of a cold wintery past

Reaching for the bright blue sky

Energy from the sun beating down on the newly born leaves

Enticing them to soak in all that they could

Nurturing them to express their vitality in a multitude of shades of…

Energy (an acrostic poem)

Electricity seemed to flow through his body as he tried to dance.

No movement was fluid, every single one a painful to watch spasm of limb movement.

Even though he tried his hardest, his feet never could match the beat, EVER.

Red faced, and not because he was tired, he stared into her eyes.

Green as emeralds, they glittered like gemstones as she moved fluidly with each thump.

Yes, he might hate dancing because he sucked so bad, but for her, he would do anything

Breathing in sync with the bass drum

Every nerve on fire with the energy of the guitar solo

As her feet began to move to the groove

That was a problem when she saw the flashing lights in her rearview mirror

Eventually the tiredness had to break, right?

No way he could be this tired for this long.

Everything seemed such an effort, even blinking!

Reaching for his sixth Monster, he pounded it back.

Going to be a long shift tonight. Good thing he had a twelve pack.

Yet he wondered if that would be enough.

Maybe the rolling stone wasn’t that great after all

Only by finding a quiet, still place can you put down some roots

Soul-nourishing peace grounding away the pent-up anxious energy

Soaking in patience waiting for the right stone to come

Chorus (an acrostic poem)

Image: renophil.com/wp-content/uploads/Chorus-Page-Header-650×270.jpg

Cacophony of voices raised

Harmoniously lifting the spirits of those around them

Obsessed with the space between the tones

Replicating structures of sound that evoke primal emotions

Unleashing a common experience

Sending that energy into the universe

Boom (an acrostic poem)

Bring the explosion of energy to the room

Obliterate any negative thoughts or emotions

Obscure the failings of the past with your positive shockwave

Make those around you rebuild with joy
