Empty (an acrostic poem)

Every word he wrote on the paper was a bucket full of holes

Making them equally as worthless at holding anything inside

Perhaps he should just give up now and save the time and effort

Though it did make the lifting of each one easier in its own way

Yes, maybe he would haul of them into place now since it was easy and spackle it all together during rewrites

Split (an acrostic poem)

So they planned to divide the bounty equally once they opened this chest

Pirates they may be, but they didn’t try to screw each other over, usually

Lust for gold was tempered by what the others would do if they found out

It surprised them all when they opened the chest, and nothing was there.

That’s when the guns and swords came out…

So he was happy with being a circle

He liked that better than being a square

And he loved all the food pyramid equally

Perhaps he should have used the heart attack as a stop sign, but…

Eventually it caught up to him, and he was placed in a rectangle box

Tattoo (an acrostic poem)

The story of his life was written on living parchment

A diary of a man written on the one who lived it

The lows and the highs were treated equally

The whole thing was amazing to behold

Originally she just wanted to see it out of simple curiosity

Only now she was engrossed in who was written there
