Chef (an acrostic poem)

Cooking the lights out every night was her goal in life

Harvesting awesome flavors from every ingredient she touched

Extreme foodies would travel from halfway around the world to sample her dishes

Focusing on that dream, the six-year-old watched her mom boil water

Donate (an acrostic conversation)

Don’t give me some lame excuse this time.  Where is my money?”

Oh, my excuse isn’t lame at all.”

No?  Then what is it?”

All of my money was given to charity this afternoon.”

That doesn’t sound like you.  What charity was it?”

Extreme Gamer Intervention.  I bought all the Pokémon cards I could to stop them from doing so.”

Melt (an acrostic poem)

Image: australiancurriculumlessons.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Ice-melting-experiment-1.jpg

Majestic sunlight splashed into puddles beneath the lush green canopy

Everything here was damp or wet from the extreme humidity

Locals here didn’t have a word for dry. There was no need

That’s why when his cousins from Iceland came to visit they would …

Triangle (an acrostic poem)

There were three sides to this story

Reaching across time and space

I took control of the situation

As I fought various fantastical creatures

Navigating places of extreme cold and heat

Gaining great weapons and armors while cooking yummy food

Leading me to the ultimate battle of good and evil

Eventually, the triforce will be mine!

Pride (an acrostic poem)

Popping his shirt in victory

Regaling his opponent with trash talk

It would make most people sick to their stomach

Doing it to his twelve-year-old son, well that was over the top

Extreme hubris was his specialty, and this was his teaching moment

Inflate (an acrostic poem)

It all began with the damn balloon animals

Now it was a crazy full-scale balloon house

For goodness sake, at least he didn’t have a balloon wife

Looking back it should have been obvious

As Peter was always obsessive-compulsive

Though this was taking that compulsion to an extreme

Everyone kept waiting for it all to pop

Cracked (an acrostic poem)

Cool façade in place, she entered the bar

Raucous music assaulted her ears, but her eyes never waivered

Ahead was the bar, and he was at the end of it

Cozying up behind him, she inhaled his musk one last time before she struck

Killing him might have been extreme, but he deserved it

Everyone screamed, but they were drowned out by the music

Downing her pill, she joined him for eternity
