Needing to think, he began to walk

Oblivious to his surroundings, focused on the problem at hand

Only issue was that the lack of focus on location added to the conundrum

Deliberating and musing everything over and over again

Left him standing on the train tracks not noticing the train when he finally solved it

Even as the light faded from his eyes, he smiled knowing how many lashes it would take with a wet…

Finding memories strewn along the river of life

Only they were not yours, but do you really care?

Remembering things that were almost true, but with a twist

Generating new recollections resonating inside your head

Echoing emotional reverberations

That fade to black as you wake up and begin to …

Foundations of water dry up

And the once fertile soil begins to blow away

Destroying years of what was built up

Everything slowly decaying

Don’t you want another hit, man?

Everything would feel so much better

Make all those whispers you hear go away

Or at least make them fade for a while
