Looking at the arrow of time, he felt that it was wrong. It didn’t explain his bouts of DeJa’Vu.

Oh, that’s why he had spent so much of his life putting together this machine from those moments.

Only did he have the balls to press the button and see what would happen?

Pushing it he winked out of time.  When he woke up he had a feeling he should make a time machine…

Maybe it was too late in the day to do such things, but she tried to solve his riddle

Under the glow of a full moon, she contemplated what he had said and how he had said it

So many possibilities rattled around her cranium, demanding she fit the moving pieces together

Her head started to pound as she felt the pieces fly away, her ability to comprehend slowly devolving to…

Kick (an acrostic poem)

Keeping his mouth’s pain level in mind, he put more hot sauce on the chicken

Its deep red color promising pleasure mixed with the pain

Cramming a huge bite into his mouth, he felt his hair begin to seat

Knowing his stomach would be further wrecked with the moonshine chaser that followed.

He was sick of feeling empty inside

Only self-pity seemed to fill the void, and he knew that wasn’t healthy

Looking out over the storm-tossed ocean waves, he wondered what to do

Love felt so far away, somewhere out there past the emotional gray horizon

Of course, even if he got out there it might not help

Walking away from the water, he tried to convince himself that being full wouldn’t feel all that great

Mile (an acrostic poem)

Making that walk down the hallway, her feet heavier with each step

If she had more time to think, more time to make sure, more time to know if this was right

She was now having doubts, yet here she was wearing white and wondering if she had an “I do” in her.

Everyone was waiting, but looking down that aisle felt like she was walking her last…

Floor (an acrostic poem)

Feet drifted along the hardwood

Looking for the beat desperately since he felt his life depended on it

Of course, they could not find it and so he dreaded what would happen next

Ordinarily he would have abandoned ship and found a wall to prop up, but…

Rachel kept smiling at him as she tried to follow his lead, and that was all that counted

Erode (an acrostic poem)

Eveline felt the ground beneath her feet crumble

Removing what firm standing she had in this reality

Other worlds flashed before her falling eyes

Diminishing into dots as she sped by, but she thought she still heard her friends somehow

Everyone was concerned when Eveline went catatonic again.  It was so tragic.

Siege (an acrostic poem)

She felt under attack during her interview

It seemed that every person wanted to tear her apart, break her

Every time she had five minutes to herself, she almost broke down and cried

Getting this chance was her way to something so much better, but was the battle worth it

Examining her casualties, she decided no.

Complete (an acrostic poem)

Carnage had been prophesied since the day of her birth

Obliterate the evil, or else she would fail, and the world would burn

Many people tried to guide her, their interests, they felt, were the same as hers

Pulling her six different ways at once, she ended up pitting them against each other

Letting their division give her the room to find her own way

Everything was going well.  The darkness was beaten back.

The final battle took place, and in the end, she was victorious

Everyone’s cheers turned to screams when she didn’t stop and began attacking them
