Being flexible was one of his strengths
Everyone knew he could roll with the worst of punches
Now they would still leave him bruised and bleeding
Didn’t break his spirit though

Didn’t break his spirit though
Flexible was never how Cybil would describe herself
Really she was almost as stiff as a steel beam
And yet she was nowhere as tough
Given she could simply walk down the street and pull any number of muscles
It was frustrating to want to do so much, but she just couldn’t
Looking at her you would never know
Else you might cut her some slack

Maybe I would fit in if he just compromised a little bit
If he could be just a bit more flexible with his morals
Shift a bit in his political views one direction or another
Find a niche where the contrast grayed out just a bit more
It would make things so much easier in life
The fact that that would break him leaves him with no choice and loneliness
