Crisp (an acrostic poem)

Cider so hard you need a hammer and chisel to drink it

Resulting in puckered lips that would make an Instagram influencer jealous

It leaves an impression on the consumer’s soul

Searing the memory of that tree, that branch, that fruit, that moment

Permanently into your psyche

Kiwi (an acrostic poem)

Keeping with the weird down under thing

In comes a fruit with hair that tastes kind of like a strawberry with a tropical twist

With a skin that could use a bit of a shave, while that isn’t too freaky

It was the fact you can eat the hairy part that made me shudder

Fruit (an acrostic poem)

Focus on the holy tomato

Rejoice in its versatility

Understand where it sits among the pantheon

It makes up more the 50% of the condiment

Therefore salsa is a type of blessed savory marmalade

Corny (an acrostic poem)

Couldn’t resist one more pun

Obviously the class had had enough, but it was right there

Really low hanging fruit that demanded to be plucked

Now the groans echoed in the lecture hall

Yet there was planted a kernel of truth
