Mystery (an acrostic poem)

Maybe you think you know what is going on

You think you have the solutions to life’s final exam

Still I wonder if the answer key has even been made yet

There seems so much chaos and disorder

Every time I turn around, I find that my current guess was not quite right

Really most of the time I was flat out wrong.  It gets quite frustrating

Yet still every day I get up and try to solve my little corner of life’s …

Fragile (an acrostic poem)

Flexible was never how Cybil would describe herself

Really she was almost as stiff as a steel beam

And yet she was nowhere as tough

Given she could simply walk down the street and pull any number of muscles

It was frustrating to want to do so much, but she just couldn’t

Looking at her you would never know

Else you might cut her some slack

Silver (an acrostic poem)

Second place might be first loser

It might even be the most frustrating since you were that close

Leaving you wondering what more you could have done

Viewing life that way makes it so frustrating

Everyone fails to win all the time

Remember that and be happy when you medal

Adrift (an acrostic poem)

Always looking for the new thing

David believed in the accumulation of experiences

Reality was he was always looking for what he was a “natural” for

It never seemed what he was doing would fit

Frustrating him and forcing him to search ever elsewhere

To never find what he thought he must be born to do
