Roof (an acrostic poem)

 

Resting in your bed, you look up

Overhead you have shelter

Outside is kept in its place

For that, you can be grateful

Grateful (an acrostic poem)

Giving thanks is an everyday event

Really it should be moment to moment

At least we set a day aside to remind us to do so

Tempering the hectic pace of life

Enabling friends and family a moment to pause

For every day is truly a gift, each sunrise a blessing

Until that sun doesn’t rise for you anymore

Long may you live and be …
