Chill hung in the air and in her heart as she observed the frozen landscape.

Only fools and the desperate would be out in this mess.

Leaving her to wonder which one she was.  Maybe she was both.

Dead bodies weren’t going to hide themselves, though, so out into the tundra she skied.

Somebody should have known better

That would have prevented the switch from coming out

Everyone wanted to run and hide

Run and hope someone else would take the beating

Not that any of them had real hope.  One look at her face made that disappear

Being on social media can be so draining

Left and right posts about hot takes and hot button issues

Or the unwanted advances of strangers into personal headspaces

Can make you want to flee and hide under an analog rock

Know that there is a button that might help put a stop to that

Cloaked in her beloved darkness, she shivered with excitement

As she peered over her city, watching those far below

Putting fear in the hearts of those trying to hide in the night

Enabling her to sense her prey

Hoping they wouldn’t find you as you snuck into the graveyard.

It might be foolish to go there during a zombie apocalypse, but…

Days had gone by since it had started.  This might be the safest place.

Except you didn’t expect there would be late risers!

Bones (an acrostic poem)

Breaking into the business was extremely hard

Ordinary people followed the traditional route

No skeletons to hide in their closet

Eunice was not like ordinary people though

She danced with those skeletons and eventually earned that med degree
