Searching for conspiracists to spread the word

To make sure the world knows the truths

Of mysteries and magic, of history and the future, of the real and the surreal

Rascals and damsels, princesses and princes, paupers and millionaires

You up for the challenge? All you need to join is to pick up a book and read.

Attack (an acrostic poem)

An army to the east and another to the west

That made his position in the middle very problematic

The command had told him to flee and save as many of his troops as he could

And that was tempting, but this was the small town his wife had grown up in

Couldn’t leave her family and friends to become at most a footnote in history

Knowing it was futile, he gave the order to charge. Maybe it would give them enough time to escape.

Stage (an acrostic poem)

Someone once said all the world is one of these

That may be so, but not everyone is an actor

As I feel a lot of people decide to spend their time as props

Giving others something to manipulate but not adding much to the plot of history

Enabling them to dodge the question of to be or not to be because they were afraid to perform

Protest (an acrostic poem)

Image: baptistandreflector.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/protestors-silhouette.jpg

Putting your beliefs out there for all to see

Rallying among people of like mind

Order out of the chaos of the moment

Thatโ€™s when the cause can gain momentum

Engaging those that were on the fence

Such that the need would codify into a moment written about in history books

That future gatherings would morph into celebration

Starlight (an acrostic poem)

Stars send speeding photons flying through the nothingness

To land blissfully on my eyes as I look heavenward

Awestruck at the age of the light that graced me

Realizing a small chunk of ancient history

Looking at a place that might not exist anymore

It causes me to pause, wondering what I am casting into the void around me

Giving life to something that will outlast my stay in this universe

Hoping that someone will gaze upon that something and be inspired

To create their own light and cast it into the unknown

Album (an acrostic poem)

A collection of things that mean so much to the curator

Love wrapped in plastic and placed in a binder

Building the history of a lifetime one photo at a time

Until it is placed away on a shelf where it awaits the proper time

Meaning the time to pull it out when her first boyfriend visits

Bury (an acrostic poem)

Beneath the soil, we planted our elders

Under the shade of the spruce and maple, it

Rooted our community in history

Yet few ever unearthed this resource, preferring to let the dead sleep.

Dome (an acrostic poem)

Dim stars twinkled from far overhead

Overwhelming ancient history is written in those heavens

Mary contemplated how her short existence fit in all of that

Eventually, she embraced her cousins since they were all made of the dust of creation
