Hmmm (an acrostic poem)

He looked at the puzzle in front of him and pondered

Maybe if he twisted his mind just so?  No that didn’t work.

Maybe if he prodded the problem over there?  Nope, that wasn’t the key

Maybe he should just leave everything alone, but then what would she say when she was ignored?

Drain (an acrostic poem)

Didn’t have any time to recharge, so down went another bottle of caffeine and sugar

Really, sleep was in order, demanded even, but she ignored it

As she had too much to do and way too little time to get it all done

It would have made her cry, except after fifteen years of doing this, this was normal

Now if she had only believed her mother before she had become a mother herself…

Ignored (an acrostic conversation)

I see you haven’t been paying attention to me.

Give me a break.  I always pay attention to you.

No, you’re not.  I can prove it.

Okay Ms. Smarty Pants, present your evidence.

Randy, you just told me I could paint a mural on your truck.

Evidently you didn’t know I was secretly hoping you would.

Dumbass, I actually asked you to pass the chips!

Drive (an acrostic poem)

Determined to get one more thing done

Rachel ignored the warning signs and barreled on

If she had just paid more attention

Viewing the road ahead enabled her to achieve above and beyond

Engine light went unnoticed until its prophecy came true
