Innovate (an acrostic poem)

It all comes down to creating something new

Not that it is easy, but with inspiration and perspiration

New things can come into existence

Of course you hope to capture lightning in a bottle

Value of your creation skyrockets, your company declared a unicorn

And you would be hailed as a genius

That is all well and good, but first do the hard part

Envision a new future and make it happen

Catching Up (an acrostic poem)

Cat and mouse described Nat’s relationship with her peers

At least that’s how Nat saw it

To be the mouse was tiring, but Nat put up with it

Coming to grips with being a target was built into her persona

Having success from an early age was a mixed blessing

Inspiration to some, a threat to most in this male dominated world

Never really at easy in the power dynamic

Given that women were still looked at as either being subservient or a bitch

Until men would stop pawing her figuratively or physically

Perhaps she would need to become the cat in this relationship

100 Words of Inspiration

What do you do when the well is dry?  What do you do when the magical waters of inspiration seem to dry up in the withering heat of sleep deprivation combined with the relentless winds of work?  You could give up and let the stories inside of your wither and die in the drought, or you take out your emotions and begin drilling deeply, looking for the gusher.  You might break your story once or twice, but you keep drilling.  How long does it take till you hit that liquid gold?  I don’t know.  Maybe about one hundred of them?
