Never sang in front of more than a couple dozen people before

Evert could feel his legs try to quiver with just the mere thought of the packed concert hall

Ready and waiting for him to come on stage and open his mouth to let those songs free

Vivian smiled warmly as she straitened his collar.  “You’ve got this.”

Oh, he got something all right.  Got to go to the bathroom that is.

Under the harsh bathroom light, he looked himself in the eye and thought..

So what was it going to be?  That’s when he threw up.

Vine (an acrostic poem)

Varicose veins climbed his legs like a trellis

It had purple blossoms of bruises to give that bit extra artistic something

Nothing he did seemed to help with the aches and pains

Except the thought of even at his age something of beauty was still growing within

Tail (an acrostic poem)

That means Ariel wanted to meet a dude so bad that she took the first deal she got

And to get legs she had to give up being able to talk?

I don’t care how hot he looks or how rich he is I’m not going to give up anything

Look, I’m only eight, but I know better than that!  Let him go out and get his own …

Crafty (an acrostic poem)

Cutting out yet another bunny body from a paper plate

Ruth smiled to herself as her plan was coming together so nicely

All she needed to do was first attach the head and legs

Finishing it with a bit of color, cotton balls, and a bit of perfume

To think Stevie would unsuspectingly bring it home to his dad

Yet his dad would be horrified to  realize that now Ruth knew he was married
