No way he would ever get all those words down on paper

Obviously, he had bitten off more than he could chew

Vowing that after he was done he would never even touch a word processor

Every letter was a struggle as he tried to download his soul onto the paper

Long months later he typed ‘The End.’  That was when he realized his work had just begun!

Grade (an acrostic poem)

Giving worth to mastery of knowledge

Receiving a letter to honor that feat

Allows the recipient to show others their level of competence of the subject

Despite lack of proof otherwise

Expecting you to accept their expertise

Blah (an acrostic poem)

But the plot will come if you just type words.  You just have to believe.

Like that would really happen.  He laughed bitterly.

All it meant was the letter vomit on the page might be some sort of Rorschach story form.

He closed the document and went to bed.  He had seen enough.

Stress (an acrostic one-sided conversation)

So that proposal was due yesterday?  I thought it was next week.

They told me next week.  I’m sure of that.

Really, they’ve got to give us a second chance.

Everyone has days like this, Michael.  I’m only human.

So what do you mean don’t bother coming to work on Monday?

So Michael, do you think I can get a reference letter hookup from you?

Bonus poem (1st draft)  If you like this one better, let me know in the comments.

So that project proposal was due yesterday?

That’s right, so now our company’s existence is now in question.

Really?  Why didn’t you tell me?

Everyone told you, daily.  With voicemail AND email AND in person

So about that.  I thought you were all being a bit pushy.

So about that, you’re fired.

Phoenix (an acrostic poem)

Proposing starting over again

Heaven knows I didn’t want to stop before

Only I did, and the site became fallow

Everything began to crumble

Now it will rise from the ashes

I will tackle my words and make each letter my own

Xcept that darned X!  It’s so difficult!!!
