Open (an acrostic poem)

Outside she was closed, boarded up with locks and everything

People passing by saw there was absolutely no way in

Except that one guy that came by every day and sat there and listened

Now they are each other’s happily ever after

Slow (an acrostic poem)

So many people just passed her by

Like she was mentally standing still

Outside their assumptions were correct

When you stopped and listened, you realized she was lightyears ahead.

Dust (an acrostic poem)

Dirt coated the remnants of civilization

Underneath the grime, the dead cars told a story

Silhouettes burned into the pavement eternally listened

The wind moaned at the ending
