Many hands make the chore light

And that was his philosophy through life

Reaching out with his hands to help all those he could

Keeping to this up even as he passed, so many came to celebrate him, it made his passing easier.

Bad Day (an acrostic poem)

Bringing all she had to the table

Anne felt like it just wasn’t enough

Doomed to fail, and fail horribly

Didn’t miss the mark by much

And everything went catastrophically wrong

Yet she realized tomorrow was another chance to do something great

Putting a stake down to claim what’s yours

Ordinarily would mark the property line sufficiently

Since this property line was between life and death

That necessitates adding the heart of the vampire

Travel (an acrostic poem)

The ability to go where you want when you want was so curtailed

Reduced to going to and fro between rooms in your own place

And that was a dream luxury if you lived a studio apartment

Viewing those same four walls every day, day in, day out, hour after hour

Eventually even the strongest of will would start to feel incarcerated

Leaving one to make marks on the wall to mark doing your COVID time
