Track (an acrostic poem)

The rat race isnโ€™t getting any easier

Running as fast as you can in circles

And all you can hope for is some crappy medal

Consider what would happen if you tried a different sport?

Kick off those tired sneakers and grab a javelin?

Medal (an acrostic poem)

Maybe this was her Olympic chance.

Everything hung into balance.

Did she have what it would take?

As she leaned in for a kiss she had the answer

Looking for the gold, she was settling for the bronze.

Silver (an acrostic poem)

Second place might be first loser

It might even be the most frustrating since you were that close

Leaving you wondering what more you could have done

Viewing life that way makes it so frustrating

Everyone fails to win all the time

Remember that and be happy when you medal
