Leaving for the last minute is totally my style

And I usually can make it work

Then there is the time you know it is due tomorrow

Except it was due last week.  Oops!

Beard (an acrostic poem)

Been yanking on his face hairs since she was a wee little babe

Every day was a repeat of the last, and he loved every minute of it

And yet, one day she decided she was too old to do it anymore

Reaching for his own face hairs, he gave them a tug

Damn that hurt.  It just wasn’t the same.

Stone (an acrostic conversation)

Some heavy rocks you’ve got there.”

Thanks, I’ve been growing them all my life.”

Okay… growing rocks? Never heard of that.”

No kidding?  It’s all the rage.  Ever heard of Stonehenge?”

Everyone has… Wait, now that makes sense!”

Wild (an acrostic poem)

When they told her to calm down, she amped it up

If they told her to wait a minute, she went faster

Looking back was never an option; she just kept her eyes to the future

Determined was how she viewed herself, others thought she was…

Enough (an acrostic poem)

Evening faded into the background as he turned up the noise

Nothing special, just something to keep the world from invading

Outside he looked like he was just chilling out

Underneath he was boiling with emotions

Going to blow any minute like one of those geysers

He just couldn’t take it anymore.  Soon the water escaped, but one drop at a time.

Cents (an acrostic poem)

Counting the pennies of each minute

Every one of them needed to be pried out of his arthritic hands

Never once did he give out his opinion easily

Two pieces of precious copper seemed two too many

So he hoarded his moments, his thoughts his treasure trove
