Can it be we are a time that the number of likes is a metric of success?

Leaving empty falsehoods and catchy memes the currency of the realm

It is sad that each one of us has to become fact checkers to just exist

Creating a media weariness that affects all of us to one degree or another

Keeping us dreading, yet secretly addicted to, that next mouse โ€ฆ.

Mouse (an acrostic poem)

Maybe those dreams of grandeur are inflating your ego

Obviously weighing over a ton would be great

Under a pair of majestic antlers atop your head

Still, remember little one, there is a difference in what you are and your dreams

Even though itโ€™s just a u and an o.

Crash (an acrostic poem)

Clicking the mouse as fast as she could

Rachel laughed as she blew up three of her competitors

All she needed to do now was make her sprint to home base

Suddenly frames started dropping almost as fast as her f bombs

Her screams echoed as the screen went black
