A collection of things that mean so much to the curator

Love wrapped in plastic and placed in a binder

Building the history of a lifetime one photo at a time

Until it is placed away on a shelf where it awaits the proper time

Meaning the time to pull it out when her first boyfriend visits

Plastic (an acrostic poem)

Pliable emotions allowed them to bend and not break

Letting the couple withstand so many of life’s issues

And it also let their souls meld into a perfect fit with each other

So it was no surprise to those around that as their features morphed by time’s hands

That it didn’t make a difference to the beauty they saw in each other

It was inspirational to view, to feel

Can something like that be recycled for the betterment of society?

Dice (an acrostic poem)

Down to my last chance, I offer a prayer to the lukewarm plastic cubes

I then release them to bound across the table, watching them unleash their chaos

Cartwheeling and spinning among all the possibilities and futures

Eventually coming to rest as tombstones on my luck’s grave

Awesome (an acrostic poem)

As I step on the pointiest Lego in the history of Lego

Wishing that I had amputated that limb so long ago

Every day I try to make sure the floor is empty, but I miss something

Still, I keep the light off as I work my way out of the room

Or I might wake her up, and that would be horrible

My foot hits another plastic caltrop and all I can scream in my head is

Everything is…..
