Giving all of you so many thanks
It is awesome when you come and look at my poetry
Finding out that I have touched you with my words
That is something I love to unwrap, not just at Christmas, but every day
So once again, thank you!

Bouncing along to the rock-hard bass sculpture
Enjoying the poetry of the melody
And reveling in the colorful painting of the harmony
That’s wrapped in a ballet for your ears
So much artistic goodness for your soul
An Awdl Gywydd poem is a poetic form found in Welsh literature. These are the rules of the form:
There are four lines per stanza
Each line contains seven syllables
The final syllable of the first and third lines rhyme with the 3rd-5th syllable of the following lines respectively
The second and fourth lines need to rhyme.
This is a link to the page which does a better job explaining it as well as has much better written examples can be found here:

Here is my attempt at two stanzas, warts and all.
Trying a new poetry form
The words swarm into their line
Can I make this poem work?
Crafting takes guesswork and time
Hope I leave you with a smile
The trial was not too bad
This Welsh poem type is strange
Where the rhymes exchange a tad

Bursting at the seams with things to do
Under the stress of things that should have been done
Still knowing there was more that needs to fit in
Yet here I am writing poetry

Perhaps it is the way words touch our souls
Or it could be the sensualness of their sounds
Either way, when paired down to their essence
The ability to inflict an emotion through abstract symbols
Reaches the primal part of our humanity
Yielding art and a sense of wonder
Cars sail along rivers of black
……………..Their soulless eyes searching for rest
……………………………..That only their final destination can provide.
