Trials (an acrostic poem)

The start to an ordeal is never easy

Reaching down deep to find the follow through can be painful

It can make you want to turn back, give up, curl up in a ball

And yet, there is so much awaiting you on the other end of it all

Look, you know it won’t be easy but…

Success is usually worth the price of admission

Price (an acrostic poem)

Purchasing liberty through sacrifice

Red stained trails through foreign lands

It fulfilled a solemn oath

Cutting freedom away from the oppressor’s  grasp

Ensuring another day for democracy

Deal (an acrostic poem)

Don’t you understand how good of a price this is?

Even shipping and handling is free, so how can you pass on this?

And if you want two, well we’ll throw that second one in on us.

Let your fingers do the walking and call us now.  Operators are standing by.

The End (an acrostic poem)

Till the fat lady sings they say

Hero could hear her warming up now

Even as he pulled his sword out of its sheath

Everything had gone to hell so quickly

Now Hero screamed as he charged into battle

Death would pay a price to have his soul today
