That first time my lips grazed yours
How my world changed forever
Racing hearts beating together
It left me dizzy and short of breath
Let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to do that again
Loving that hit of raw adrenaline
That first time my lips grazed yours
How my world changed forever
Racing hearts beating together
It left me dizzy and short of breath
Let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to do that again
Loving that hit of raw adrenaline
Words dribble out of my fingers
Raw unfiltered fragments of imagination
Incandescent with flashes of brilliance
Though often followed by long droughts of darkness
Engulfing everything in shades of mediocrity
Chocolate chips, brown sugar, vanilla extract play lead guitar
Oh, and all the stuff that gives it structure like a good back beat
Organize the lumps of raw dough on a baking sheet
Keeping good social distance between them
Igniting the oven and bringing it to temp so this party can get started
Everything comes out ooey, gooey, and so bad for you. Yum!

(I have not tried them yet, but they look awesome!)
Selecting the right words to give strength to the tale
Managing to weld together sentences without seams
Intricate work with the hammer to make the whole thing take shape
Then quenching it with an editing pass to give it durability
How a writer forges stories from raw emotional stock
