Punished at the speed of thought
As her mental sea exploded with wave after wave
Intensity so high she had to close her eyes and grit her teeth
Nerves fried, she fled into the oblivion of darkness hoping to find relief
Silicon dioxide particles stuck to places on his body
All chaffing parts that should never be chaffed
Needing that shower to rinse them away and get relief
Deferring the problem to a clogged drain
I just wanted to scratch it
Though I knew it would just make it worse
Causing me more suffering in the long run
Hard to find relief

Being a gambler didn’t come easy for Stephen
Every time he put his chips down he was sure it would be his last
That’s why it was a relief when the casino kicked him out for winning too much

Everything in this tomb reeked of antiquity
Xenon lamp in hand, Rachel peered closer to the relief
Pomegranates punctuated with palm fronds trialed to a sarcophagus
Lovingly she thought about her fame and how she kept this whole thing to herself
Oblivious to a small vibration that sent dust falling from the ceiling
Rachel went to leave, but the tunnel back was now blocked by a ton of stone
Eventually someone would find her remains there as well
