Thought (an acrostic poem)

Think, therefore I am was his favorite idiom

He held onto it with both hands, never letting it go

Others gave up and allowed themselves to become fleshy robots

Under the guise that the need for money was above all

Given that option himself, he rejected to play along

He kept generating new and different mental creations to escape their drudgery

That was why he was gone when they finally came to imprison him for his ideas

Replaced (an acrostic poem)

Reading through the want ads looking for something to do.

Everyone wanted experience, and I haven’t done the time.

Perhaps in the past I would have lied and tried my best.

Learning what I could before I was given my parole.

And applying that knowledge to the next economic sentence.

Can’t believe no matter where I go, there I would chains waiting.

Eventually the robots will come and take all of it away.

Destroying our way of life and setting us free, but to do what?

My Robot Life (syllabic verse)

Bots

Love them

Create them

I program them

Yet right now they suck

Really it is more me

I cannot get things to fit

Even though I want to give up

I will try again to make it work

I must struggle, learn, and then I can teach

In this poem each line has one more syllable.  I wanted to try something different.  I hope you enjoy.
