Knowing hands twisted and tied the thick cords with ease

Noting where the rope had begun to fray

Outside the wind began to howl, which he thought fitting

There was no better accompaniment when at the gallows

Extra (an acrostic poem)

Even when I slipped him the twenty

Xavier didn’t let me in

That ticked me off.  I mean it was a twenty

Rachel patted my arm and whispered into Zavier’s ear

And he blushed and opened the velvet rope for us

Debut (an acrostic poem)

Danny watched as the curtain went up on opening night

Everything should run smoothly.  They had rehearsed it for months

But not five minutes in a rope broke and part of the scenery randomly changed

Unveiling the plot twist that no one knew they were not expecting

There goes the five star reviews!
