Maybe it was too late in the day to do such things, but she tried to solve his riddle

Under the glow of a full moon, she contemplated what he had said and how he had said it

So many possibilities rattled around her cranium, demanding she fit the moving pieces together

Her head started to pound as she felt the pieces fly away, her ability to comprehend slowly devolving to…

Bacon (an acrostic poem)

Bring on all that smoked pork awesomeness

And let me eat till I want to oink

Can I get an amen, my piggy people?

Oh you might say I am a hog for engorging myself on the crispy pieces of heaven, and you would be correct

Now that being said, does this desire make me a cannibal?

Duet (an acrostic poem)

Image: sweetwater.com/insync/media/2013/05/live-sound-microphone.jpg

Double her melody, but a third higher they said

Under normal circumstances that would have been a cakewalk

Except she found out the person she was singing with was Mariah Carey

That meant either she needed to find another octave in range or have a car hit her so she could get out of it

Franks (an acrostic very short story)

Filling his hotdog bun with condiments,

Randy showed his date his brilliant idea.

As you can see, put all the stuff underneath, lubricating sides and bottom

Now you can’t drop anything out once you slip your wiener in,” he said.

Know what?  This date is over,” she replied as she stomped off.

She left him holding his meatless bun.

Someone once said all the world is one of these

That may be so, but not everyone is an actor

As I feel a lot of people decide to spend their time as props

Giving others something to manipulate but not adding much to the plot of history

Enabling them to dodge the question of to be or not to be because they were afraid to perform

Greet (an acrostic poem)

Giving his new teammate a fist bump seemed to be the perfect greeting

Relaxed yet said, “I feel you, my brother.”

Except the next person came up and started a whole ritual

Exchanging high fives, bows, spins, hops and ended with a modified Cossack Dance

That’s when it dawned on him that maybe he didn’t know how to …

Fuel (an acrostic poem)

Image: comunicaffe.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Coffee-White-Cup.jpg

Fiddling with her coffee mug, she looked out the window with dead eyes

Ugly vibes hung in the air on words that shouldn’t have been said

Everyone, even him, had to understand life’s fundamental truth

Leave her alone until she tanked up on at least one mug full

Legend (an acrostic poem)

Little more could be said, much less done

Everyone just stared as she walked across the floor

Gwen had accomplished the nigh impossible

Eyewitnesses would spread her story from here

New tales even more fanciful would be spun from the cloth of this truth

Destiny can kiss her ass.  She owned that bitch
