School (an acrostic poem)

She wanted to learn everything

Cram as much of the information as she could into her cerebellum

Have the ability to recall things faster than Google

Obviously that wouldn’t be really possible

Or else there would already be that person in the world

Leaving her only one choice, stay forever where she could continue to try to be the first

Present (an acrostic poem)

Put a bow on it and it would be done

Really that seemed so old school

Everyone these days was striving to be original

So it meant a lazy old bow on top would be just too boomer

Everything about him giving it to her would be on TikTok, so he couldn’t disappoint

Now the use of a bow on a gift might not get views

The strategic placement of it as he gave it to her in his birthday suit though….

Pumpkin (an acrostic poem)

Pushing his horse to go faster, Jon peered through the fog

Under the full moon, the fog formed a concealing haze

Muttering under his breath, Jon was forced to slow down

Pelting his head on a branch wouldn’t be much better than getting caught

Killed was killed, no matter which way his head crumbled

It began to clear and Jon could see the old school house.  He was almost home

Nathan found Jon’s remains mingled with those of an orange squash on the school’s wall
