Degree (an acrostic poem)

Diplomas carry so much weight for mere pieces of paper

Everything that goes into them distilled into a few words

Giving the holder the opportunity to advertise themselves

Revealing their skills and knowledge

Experiences woven into the very fibers

Education immortalized in the transient

Crew (an acrostic poem)

Couldn’t pull off this caper without them

Rational people just don’t have the chutzpah to pull it off

Everyone here has the skills and ice in their veins

Would make such a great movie watching us commit the deed

Divide (an acrostic poem)

Division was always Vivian’s strong suit

It didn’t matter if it was numbers or people

Vivian could separate the goats from the sheep

It didn’t matter what defined goat or sheep

Determined to put her skills to use, Vivian turned to politics

Except she found being a pollster much better to her liking
