Zigzag (an acrostic poem)

Zebras scattered among the savanna grass

It made for a dizzying pattern for the approaching lioness

Giving her pause as to which way to attack

Zooming through the waving foliage, she struck out

And only managed to slap at a tail as what it was attached to scrambled away

Giving chase, her pride managed to finally take one down as the rest of the dazzle escaped

Height (an acrostic poem)

How high in the air was he right now?

Everything looked like it was so far away

It made him giggle with glee.

Gesturing he asked her, “Is this how you see everything?”

Her slap to his shoulder threw him off balance.  “Why did you do that?”

That’s when she took her glasses off his face.

Tape (an acrostic poem)

To mend that which was ripped apart

A bonding agent stronger than superglue would be needed

People and relationships were sometimes just too broken to just slap together

Even with bubble wrap, bailing twine, and wire

Justice (an acrostic poem)

Jurisprudence usually didn’t make Michelle laugh

Under normal circumstances, people’s lives hung into balance

Still, something about the state vs. a pair of puppies made her laugh

They did destroy a bunch of stuffed animals

In the photos, you could see the joy the two pups had in their crime spree

Cuteness would only get them and their owner so far

Eventually, the law would prevail, but would it just be a newspaper slap on the nose?
