Yarn (an acrostic poem)

Yearning to wear soft cashmere sweaters

Asking others to make them for me seems silly since I could make one

Reaching for my knitting needles I start my first stitch

Now after five hours, and not getting past stitch three, I pick up the phone and call…

Hygge (an acrostic poem)

Image: cdn.hswstatic.com/gif/hygge.jpg

Hearth is happily crackling, telling a tale of mirth

Yielding a soft warm glow into the room

Gifting a cozy sense of calm and comfort

Grafting the coming season to your soul

Entombing negative feelings for another time, another place

Silver (an acrostic poem)

She scowled at her reflection

It was all angles, scars, and knots of muscle

Leaving her bereft of the soft curves she knew he desired

Vapor poured into the window behind her

Envisioning what was about to happen, she punched her image, shattering it

Reaching for a shard, she let it fly, impaling the coalescing vampire.  “How about that curve?” she muttered.

Flip (an acrostic poem)

Feeling like a coin spinning through the air

Listing endlessly from heads to tails and back again

It makes for an uncomfortable situation and fills those around you with apprehension.

Perhaps instead of chocolate or vanilla soft serve,  you might settle on your edge, twist!

Meadow ( an acrostic poem)

Meandering through the tall grass

Enjoying the soft sunlight trickling from the cloud speckled sky

All while admiring the punches of flowery color

Dotting the serene landscape

Overhead hawks played among the updrafts

Winding down a perfect day
