Chess (an acrostic poem)

Can’t be playing four-dimensional games when your opponent is playing checkers

How would that be sporting of you, you scoundrel?

Every move should be calculated as if you and your opponent were equal

So you can truly earn that victory and feel good about it

Sorry, did you really believe all that?  If you are that foolish, let me challenge you to a game of…

Sorry x2 (an acrostic poem)

So, I haven’t posted here for a couple of days

Of course, I hate when that happens

Really, I wanted to post, but I was burning the candle at both ends

Reaching a point where the words would not come

You can be assured I am sorry and will try to do better in the future.

And now a bonus poem/story…

She wanted to tell him she had been wrong in what she did

Or maybe not quite wrong, but maybe more mistaken

Reaching out, she cupped his cold face with her hands

Ready to finally apologize for what she had done

Yet she couldn’t though since he was already dead

Sorry (an acrostic poem)

So, obviously I have not been posting that much to my blog lately

Oh believe me, I wanted to keep publishing every day, but I had my reasons

Reason one, my professional life has demanded more of my time

Reason two, I needed to get a bunch of stuff done around my house

Yet the time is coming where I will return.  Thank you, and please keep checking in

Clear (an acrostic poem)

Can’t you explain that one more time, but slower?

Look, I’m sorry, but I’m just not getting it.

Everything is just jumbled in my brainpan

And it is leaving me almost seasick as I navigate the morass

Really I got it the first time, but I just wanted to mess with you.

Hacked (an acrostic conversation)

He’s just pretending he has all my info.

And what if he’s not?

Could be he really has my password.

Know what? Doesn’t matter.  You didn’t like digital life anyway

Everything you said is true, except when it comes to watching cat videos

Damn!  I forgot about those.  I’m sorry you were…

Bill (an acrostic poem)

But he didn’t have the money to pay

It made him feel really bad, but he had been so hungry

Leaving the slip on the table with an “I’m sorry” note

Larry couldn’t really enjoy his first meal in three days as he ran away

100 Word Post # 7 Cliff Hanger

Only Brandon kept Katheryn from falling from the cliff.  She clung to his hand with both of hers, thinking the bond between them unbreakable.  This lie was slowly fading as the life blood keeping that grip alive ebbed out the open wound of Brandon’s heart.

“I said I was sorry,” Katheryn said for like the twentieth time while hanging there.  “Don’t let me go.”

“You and Corey stab me in the heart, and you expect me to stay?” Brandon asked.

With that he let go and walked away as Katheryn fell off her emotional cliff and crashed into pain below.
