Can’t think back to the days when I was 100% human

You know, when I did everything without some sort of enhancement

Began with a set of glasses, then came the phones

Over time, virtual reality crept in complete with the ability to feel the matrix

Reality became distorted into something malleable with AI and social media saturation

Gaining an augmented suit and grafting it to your skin might be a step too far? Probably not.

Holy (an acrostic poem)

He wanted to be a pious sort of dude

Only he didn’t feel like he was good at it

Living life as best as he could by respecting others

Yearning that they would just do the same

Crass (an acrostic poem)

Can’t say something nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all?

Realize this is the biggest lie you have been fed all your life.

As if your opinion should be mitigated by some sort of empathy filter.

So you shouldn’t call out the stupidity slapping you in the face?

Shut up and sit down on that iron pole over there if you disagree.

Pain (an acrostic poem)

Push your body past its self-imposed limits

And suffer the wrath of muscle, bone, and sinew

It can be mitigated by medication, but

Nothing will change what you feel, both short term and long, except for time.
